Description
Rare Premium Gem 1886-S Morgan Dollar
1886-S $1 MS66 PCGS. CAC. VAM-2. A Top 100 Variety. This completely brilliant and frosty Premium Gem has a bold strike with only three or four hair strands over the ear merged together. The mintmark is slightly doubled. The surfaces are pristine with none of the usually seen abrasions this issue is noted for. The 1886-S has a rather low mintage of just 750,000 pieces, and it is seldom encountered in Gem grades. The typical Mint State example is apt to be just MS61 or MS62.
