1887 $1 Gator Eye MS67 NGC. VAM-12. A Top 100 Variety. The Alligator Eye or "Gator Eye," distinguished by west-east doubling on the plane of Liberty's eye. Frosty surfaces are minimally toned. Beyond its status as a Superb Gem of a Top 100 variety, it is part of an issue conditionally rare any finer, with just two such coins known to NGC (12/09).Auction Info
