Description
1887-O $1 MS65 PCGS. This piece is nicely struck for this often poorly impressed issue. While there is some softness on the hair over the ear, a bold strike appears elsewhere, including the eagle's breast and the leaves in the wreath. This silver-white Gem displays only light post-strike abrasions consistent with the grade. Even though PCGS has certified nearly 300 coins in this grade, the strike puts this piece near the top. From The Carson Silver Collection.(Registry values: P5, N2998)
