    Description

    Highly Lustrous MS66 ★ 1887-S Morgan Dollar

1887-S $1 MS66 ★ NGC. The largest percentage of high grade 1887-S dollars comes from the Redfield Hoard. However, this issue is actually quite scarce above MS64 and very few Redfield coins qualify today at the MS66 level. This is a highly lustrous example that is sharply defined throughout. The fields are semi-reflective and there is just the slightest hint of golden toning on each side. Population: 1 in 66 ★ , none finer (6/05).(#7180)(Registry values: P6, N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2554, PCGS# 7180)

    Weight: 26.73 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
