Description

1888-O $1 Clashed E MS65 PCGS. VAM-1A. A Top 100 Variety. The E (from LIBERTY) is clashed beneath the tailfeathers. As always for VAM-1A, the E is faint and two-thirds complete, but this nonetheless is one of the most prominent Clashed E varieties in the series. An early die state with a slender crack through the R in PLURIBUS and three obverse rim cuds between 3 and 4:30. Lustrous and brilliant with the usual O-mint minor incompleteness of strike at the centers.
