Rare 'Scar Face' Variety
1888-O $1 MS63 PCGS. VAM-1B. A Top 100 Variety. This well
struck example of the 1888-O Morgan dollar displays the prominent
"Scar Face" die break across Liberty's cheek. Considered "the most
dramatic die break in the Morgan dollar series," the VAM-1B is rare
in any grade. The present coin exhibits mostly brilliant fields,
with a ring of green toning around the rims, and strong, frosty
