1889 $1 MS66 PCGS. The 1889 Morgan dollar is an available date, but seldom encountered with a sharp strike. The present coin is well, but not fully struck, with only a touch of softness on the hair above the ears. The surfaces are mostly brilliant and lustrous, with hints of gold and russet toning at the peripheries. Only five coins have been certified in higher numeric grades at PCGS and NGC combined (5/10).(Registry values: P3, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2558, PCGS# 7188, GSID# 7502)
