1889-CC Dollar, AU53
Significant Traces of Luster Remain
1889-CC $1 AU53 NGC. The 1889-CC is a well-known,
low-mintage Carson City issue that is the undisputed key to the CC
Morgan dollar series. This AU example retains a significant
presence of mint luster still around the devices, and there is also
moderate reflectivity present in the fields, a common finish for
1889-CC dollars. Mostly brilliant, there is a slight accent of
golden-russet toning that surrounds the outer devices.(Registry values: P9, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2559, PCGS# 7190, Greysheet# 7554)
