1889-CC Silver Dollar, AU53
Carson City Key Date
1889-CC $1 AU53 PCGS. VAM-3. This Morgan from a highly
sought-after issue is mostly brilliant with peripheral hues of
faint lilac and amber. A lone mottle on the right reverse is
accented in cobalt-blue and lavender. The coin is well-struck with
surface friction typical of an AU53 example, and a notable mark
begins under Liberty's lip and extends diagonally upward. Pockets
of luster in protected areas and strong reflective qualities in the
fields produce noticeable contrast and attractive eye appeal. The
key date status of the 1889-CC makes this issue popular in all
