Description
1889-CC Morgan Dollar, AU Details
Prooflike Reverse
1889-CC $1 -- Damage -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. VAM-4. A
paltry 350,000 Morgans were minted at Carson City in 1889, the
third lowest from the mint. While both 1885 and 1881 would see
lower mintage figures, the 1889-CC proves by far the most elusive
issue. This piece displays alluringly vibrant silver luster with
deeply reflective fields in the reverse. Damage as indicated by
PCGS is readily apparent by a uniform 'freckle' like pattern on
Liberty that extends from the cheek into the hair.(Registry values: P9, N2998)
