Description

1889-CC Morgan Dollar, MS61
Key Carson City Issue

1889-CC $1 MS61 ANACS. VAM-3. CC Tilted Left. One of nine VAM varieties listed for the key-date 1889-CC Morgan dollar, identified by date and mintmark placement. A diagonal die line in the T in LIBERTY confirms the attribution. This piece is sharp and satiny with light golden toning. Grade-limiting abrasions are minor, mainly consisting of a few hairlines and slide marks. As the key date in the Carson City Morgans, the 1889-CC is widely sought after in all grades. However, Mint State examples are the most elusive and coveted. This piece is quite pleasing for the entry-level numeric Mint State grade. Housed in a small-sized ANACS holder.
