Description

1889-CC Morgan Dollar, MS62
Vibrant and Frosty

1889-CC $1 MS62 PCGS. VAM-5. Ex: Desert Find. A spectacularly vibrant cartwheel effect engulfs this Mint State piece, illuminating sharply struck design elements. Some light grazes in the fields and on Liberty's cheek define the grade but are minor compared to what we have seen on 1889-CC dollars from traditional numismatic channels. This piece is fresh and eye-catching, and yet to be reviewed by CAC. A small reed mark at the eagle's beak on the reverse serves as a pedigree marker.

The VAM-5 dies are in their middle state on this piece, where a crack runs through ONE on the reverse but does not yet extend to DOLLAR. VAM-5 is a Far Date variety, with the 1 in the date minutely further right than so-called Normal Date varieties.(Registry values: P9, N4719)
