Description

1889-CC Morgan Dollar, XF40 CAC
Umber Luster

1889-CC $1 XF40 NGC. CAC. VAM-4. Carson City issued a mintage of just 350,000 silver dollars 1889, making it one of the great key dates of the series that is only surpassed by the 1893-S Morgan. The specimen shows petrified umber luster that intertwines with lighter jades, citrine, and topaz tones. The eagle's breast displays some strike weakness and minor abrasions, though they are unintrusive to the appeal. The example is bolstered by CAC endorsement.(Registry values: P9, N1793)
