Striking 1889-O Morgan Dollar
MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike
1889-O $1 MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. The 1889-O
enormous issue of nearly 12 million coins produced a generous
supply of Prooflike coins, but Deep Mirror Prooflikes are another
story altogether. This splendid piece displays deep black-on-white
contrast between the fields and devices, over surfaces that are
largely untoned in the centers while the rims show glints of
amber-gold and aqua. This example is one of only three Gem Deep
Mirror Prooflikes at NGC, and there are none finer (9/09). PCGS has
certified a single MS66 Deep Mirror Prooflike coin.(Registry values: P6, N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255A, PCGS# 97193, GSID# 7751)
