Gem 1890-CC Morgan Dollar
Scarce Date in Higher Grades
1890-CC $1 MS65 PCGS. The 1890-CC Morgan dollar boasts the
largest mintage of the Carson City series, but much of the mintage
circulated heavily in the 19th century, and many more examples were
melted under the provisions of the Pittman Act. Coins in MS65
condition are scarce today, and only 11 examples have been
certified in higher numeric grades by PCGS and NGC combined (8/10).
The present coin is a vibrant, frosty Gem, with pinpoint definition
