1890-CC $1 Tail Bar MS64 NGC. VAM-4. A Top 100 Variety. The Tail Bar variety gets its name from a heavy die line that extends down from the extreme left side of the eagle's tail. There was a time that this variety was given little attention in numismatic circles, but today it is one of the most popular of all Morgan dollar varieties. This example is a pleasing and lustrous near-Gem with attractive peripheral iridescence on the reverse.(Registry values: P6)
