Description

1890-O Silver Dollar, Frosty MS66+
Stunning Tied-Finest Example

1890-O $1 MS66+ PCGS. Although plentiful in MS65 and lower grades, the 1890-O Morgan dollar becomes decidedly scarce in MS66 with such coins rarely appearing at auction. The finest coins are three MS66+ PCGS coins, one of which is the coin offered here. No MS66+ piece has previously appeared in our auctions. This exceptional piece is an ideal Registry coin the like of which may not be seen again for years.

Frosty, radiant cartwheel luster adorns bold devices, free of distracting abrasions. Hints of champagne warm the obverse, while a blush of amber runs through the right reverse margin. Eye appeal is exceptional. PCGS Population: 51 in 66 (3 in 66+), 0 finer (11/25).(Registry values: P4, N4719)
