Description

1891-CC Dollar, MS65
A Scarce and Popular CC in Gem Condition

1891-CC $1 MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1891-CC is an interesting issue. It was not represented in hoard quantities in the GSA holdings, which gives it a cachet of scarcity lacking from those CC issues from the early 1880s. However, it is moderately available in the better grades of Uncirculated, and is significantly higher priced as a Gem. This is a splendid example that is brilliant throughout, and at first glance appears to lack the abrasions normally associated with CC dollars. The fields are semiprooflike and the striking details are fully brought up on each side.(Registry values: P6, N2998)
