Description

Attractive, Semireflective MS65 1891-CC Dollar

1891-CC $1 MS65 PCGS. While many of the 1880s Carson City dates are fairly common in MS65, despite a moderate mintage the 1891-CC remains scarce in the higher Mint State grades, due largely to its minuscule representation in the GSA-Treasury sales of a few decades ago. Only three dozen PCGS-certified coins exceed the grade of the present Gem example (8/08). The devices are sharply defined on each side and brilliant throughout, and the fields display a noticeable semireflectivity.(Registry values: P6, N2998)
