Description

Remarkable 1891-CC Dollar, MS65 Prooflike

1891-CC $1 MS65 Prooflike NGC. David Bowers (2005) writes that 1891-CC Prooflike dollars "usually have low contrast in relation to the design features, and, accordingly, the demand for them is not great." On this Prooflike Gem, the motif-field contrast is pronounced at all angles, but especially when the coin is tilted under a light source. The white surfaces exhibit sharply impressed design elements, and are remarkably well preserved. Census: 5 in 65 Prooflike, 1 finer (7/07).
