    Description

1892 $1 MS65 NGC. No longer under the parameters of the Bland-Allison Act, Mint production of silver dollars declined dramatically in 1892. Barely over 1 million Morgan dollars were struck in Philadelphia for the year, while each of the branch mints exceeded that total by a moderate amount. This Gem P-Mint dollar is as close to the finest grade most can hope to acquire, since finer pieces are prohibitively rare. The surfaces are smooth, brilliant, and sharply struck with a lustrous, creamy texture and tremendous eye appeal. NGC has certified just one numerically finer example (6/18).
