Description
Gem 1892 Morgan Dollar
Only three Coins Certified Finer
1892 $1 MS65 PCGS. A small total of just over 1 million
Morgan dollars was coined at the Philadelphia Mint in 1892. The
date is virtually unobtainable in grades above MS65, as PCGS has
certified only two coins in higher numeric grades, and NGC has
graded only a single specimen finer (8/10). The present Gem example
is attractively toned on both sides in shades of green, lavender,
and golden-brown, with more color visible on the obverse. The
devices are well detailed and a shallow scratch in the left obverse
field is the only mark of note.(Registry values: P6, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255L, PCGS# 7212, GSID# 7574)
