Elusive 1892-CC Dollar MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike

1892-CC $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. Surprisingly absent from the Treasury hoard releases of the early 1960s, the '92-CC has enjoyed increased status ever since. This near-Gem example is boldly struck with deeply prooflike surfaces and exceptionally frosted devices that appear snow-white against the jet-black fields. Superficial luster grazes on Liberty's face, and in the left obverse field, prevent an even higher numerical grade designation, but the Deep Mirror Prooflike label definitely seems warranted. Population: 28 in 64 Deep Mirror Prooflike, 2 finer (8/07). (Registry values: P7, N2998)
