Description

Interesting 1892-CC Dollar, MS64

1892-CC $1 MS64 PCGS. One of the more popular dates in the Carson City series, the 1892-CC has a relatively low mintage of only 1.35 million coins, which was likely further reduced by Pittman Act meltings. This silver-gray and lustrous piece is well-struck, although it does show light roller marks at the center of the obverse under magnification. Contact marks are minimal. This piece also shows an interesting die break/fill on the lower loop of the 2 in the date with a die crack that joins stars 13-11, 9-8 with the (UNU)M, and on the left another one join the other date digits, the rim, and stars 2-4. A nice piece for the grade, and one that should see a good premium as a variety.(Registry values: P7, N1793)
