    Scarce Frosted Gem Example

    1892-CC $1 MS65 PCGS. CAC. VAM-8. The date is set far right, with die chips in the lower portions of 8 and 9 in the date. This impressive Gem 1892-CC dollar shows only faint luster grazes on the obverse and two or three minor abrasions on the reverse. Brilliant and frosted, the motifs are sharply struck and stand out against the smooth, lustrous fields. Sharply struck everywhere except the eagle's talons. PCGS reports 40 numerically finer examples (2/19).(Registry values: P7, N2998) (NGC ID# 255M, PCGS# 7214)
