Enticing 1892-S Morgan Dollar, AU55
1892-S $1 AU55 PCGS. CAC. For collectors of Mint State Morgan silver dollars, the 1892-S and 1893-S coins, along with a few other dates such as 1895-O and 1901, present major hurdles. Merely finding such a coin is extremely difficult, and finding one that is also attractive or appealing substantially increases the challenge. Once those two hurdles have been cleared, the next object is price. Those who have such coins for sale are simply not going to be pressured into discount selling.To solve those challenges, many collectors are delighted when an attractive, properly graded Choice AU example appears in the market place. The present piece is just one of those coins, with nearly full luster, excellent design details, and faint peripheral gold toning on otherwise brilliant, untoned silver surfaces.
