Description

1893-CC Morgan Dollar, AU53
Last-Year Carson City Issue

1893-CC $1 AU53 PCGS. VAM-3. The Carson City branch mint ceased coin production in June of 1893 after striking a moderate last-year mintage at 677,000 Morgans. Marginally available through Choice, 1893-CC Gems and finer pieces are condition rarities. This AU53 displays generally brilliant surfaces and faint splashes of lavender and jade on the reverse edges. Light wear defines the grade, and a couple of nicks on Liberty's upper lip are pedigree markers. Abundant satiny luster complements overall pleasing eye appeal.(Registry values: P8, N208)
