Description

Low Mintage 1893-O Morgan Dollar MS61

1893-O $1 MS61 ANACS. 1893 was a year of low mintages for the Morgan dollar, at all four of the U.S. mints. New Orleans was no exception, as just 300,000 pieces were produced. This Mint State example is untoned and exhibits dazzling cartwheel luster on the reverse, while the obverse shows slightly more subdued, creamy luster. There is a noticeable scrape on Liberty's jaw, and a number of smaller abrasions are scattered around the obverse, limiting the grade. (Registry values: P8, N1793)
