Description
1893-S Morgan Dollar, VF30
Low Mintage, Essential Key Date
1893-S $1 VF30 NGC. VAM-2. The 1893-S has the lowest mintage
within the Morgan dollar series at just 100,000 pieces which,
coupled with a lower survivorship, has made it the key date issue
of the series. This solid VF example shows limited circulation wear
at the breast feathers as well as on the high points of the cap and
curls. The coin displays soft-gray undertones while golden hues
rest along the pleasing surfaces. The 1893-S is a perennial
favorite among the 100 Greatest U.S. Coins (#41 in the 6th
