1893-S $1 VF35 PCGS. Taking 38th place on the list of the
100 Greatest U.S. Coins is the 1893-S dollar -- the
lowest-mintage issue in the Morgan dollar series. Only the 1895 is
rarer, but only proofs are known for that date. This Choice VF
dollar displays above-average detail. Deep steel-gray patina covers
the obverse, while the reverse is slightly lighter in
