    Description

    1893-S Morgan Dollar, XF40
    Pleasing, Well-Detailed Example

1893-S $1 XF40 ANACS. This important key date has the lowest business strike mintage in the entire series (100,000 pieces), and thousands of those coins may have been melted in 1918 due to the Pittman Act. This example is well-detailed, showing even high-point wear and a few stray hairlines on each side. Slight touches of golden-brown and cobalt-blue peripheral toning complement the creamy-gray fields and centers.(Registry values: P10, N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255U, PCGS# 7226)

    Weight: 26.73 grams
