Description
Desirable Choice XF 1893-S Morgan Dollar
1893-S $1 XF45 PCGS. In his A Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars, Q. David Bowers (2005) enthuses about this issue: "The 1893-S is the object of great desire in the Morgan dollar series. No single issue has greater popularity across the board." He further notes that the pieces circulated in the American West, and that the grade distribution is clustered around Very Fine. For the collector who desires a better example, this well-defined example offers an enticing alternative. The lightly abraded surfaces are predominantly pale silver-gray, though both sides show elements of pale blue and gold. The obverse margins and the reverse exhibit considerable remaining luster, and the overall visual appeal is considerable. A noteworthy choice for the silver dollar enthusiast.(Registry values: P10, N2998)
