    Description

    1894 Morgan Dollar, MS64
    Low-Mintage, Key Date

1894 $1 MS64 PCGS. CAC. With the lowest business strike mintage (only 110,000 pieces produced) of any Morgan dollar except the 1893-S, the 1894 date is recognized for its scarcity and desirability in higher Mint State grades. Opportunistic collectors are quick to search out high-end, near-Gem coins. This is one of those. White and frosty with rolling cartwheel luster, a few abrasions appear on the neck but no serious marks are seen anywhere else on the coin. The fields and rims are especially nice. PCGS has graded just 26 of this date numerically finer (11/13).(Registry values: P8, N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255V, PCGS# 7228)

    Weight: 26.73 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
