Description

1894 Dollar, MS64
Brilliant, Highly Lustrous Surfaces

1894 $1 MS64 PCGS. The 1894 dollar saw just 110,000 pieces struck, the smallest circulation-strike figure in the Morgan dollar series except for the 1893-S. Examples are elusive in all grades, and Mint State pieces are mostly in the lower ranges through MS63. Bright luster emanates from the untoned surfaces of this near-Gem offering. Well-struck design elements exhibit some detail in the central areas. A few light marks determine the grade. PCGS and NGC have seen fewer than 30 finer (12/13).
