Description

1894-O Dollar, MS63+
Vibrant Luster

1894-O $1 MS63+ PCGS. The Morgan dollars of 1894 from New Orleans saw a mintage exceeding 1.7 million pieces. Production standards were not a first priority as the issue was poorly struck and exhibited dull luster. Additionally, the majority of 1894-Os are heavily bagmarked. This high-end Select example displays vibrant luster and is somewhat better struck than ordinarily seen, as a modicum of detail occurs in the hair over Liberty's ear and the eagle's breast feathers. Just a few minor marks preclude MS64.
