Description
Desirable 1894 Morgan Dollar, MS64 PCGS
1894 $1 MS64 PCGS. The 1894-P is an important, high visibility issue in the Morgan Dollar series. Only 110,972 pieces were produced. This low mintage is undoubtedly responsible for much of the issue's charm and attraction to collectors. However, it is also an unquestioned condition rarity as well as an absolute rarity with high grade pieces seldom being offered. This essentially untoned example has smooth, satiny surfaces, with the only obvious detractions being on the cheek of Liberty and the eagle's breast. Well struck, and quite scarce as such.(#7228) (Registry values: P8, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255V, PCGS# 7228, GSID# 7578)
