Dazzling Gem 1894-S Dollar
1894-S $1 MS65 NGC. When found in the higher Mint State grades, the 1894-S is generally a well-produced issue, with good strike and luster. The present Gem is one such, with radiant luster emanating from both sides. The obverse is silver-white with a tinge of gold, while the reverse is uniformly golden and prooflike. A few scattered marks account for the grade but are minor. Census: 40 in 65, 10 finer (2/10).From The JTR Collection.(Registry values: P6, N2998)
