    Description

    1895-O Morgan Dollar, AU58
    Low-Mintage Branch Mint Issue

1895-O $1 AU58 PCGS. CAC. The effects of the Panic of 1893 and the repeal of the Sherman Silver Purchase Act were still being felt in 1895, resulting in meager mintages of Morgan dollars at all active U.S. Mints. Only 450,000 Morgan dollars were struck at the New Orleans Mint that year. This impressive near-Mint specimen shows just a trace of friction on the sharply struck design elements and the brilliant surfaces retain much of their original mint luster.(Registry values: P9, N991)
