1895-O Morgan Dollar, AU58
Limited in Mint State

1895-O $1 AU58 PCGS. The 1895-O had a mintage of only 450,000 pieces, and most were produced with a weak strike. Additionally, many were melted after the 1918 Pittman Act, and the issue has less than 200 Mint State examples at PCGS (5/25). Although light circulation is evident, this near-Mint example retains satiny luster in protected areas and exhibits limited contrast during rotation. Typical of the issue, strike is somewhat weak on central high points along with numerous reed marks. Overall eye appeal is pleasing, and this AU-level example represents a popular alternative when finer pieces are challenging to find.(Registry values: P9, N991)
