1895-S $1 MS61 PCGS. VAM-4. A Top 100 Variety. The popular S over Horizontal S VAM of this better date. This semi-prooflike example appears brilliant at first glance, but each side has an infrequent wisp of gold patina. Marks are inconsequential, and the luster is only slightly diminished.
