Description
1895-S Morgan Dollar, MS62
Low-Mintage Issue
1895-S $1 MS62 PCGS. From a mintage of 400,000 pieces, small
in the context of the series, the 1895-S Morgan dollar is a much
better issue. Most examples seen are in lower Mint State grades,
with the present coin typical in many aspects. The surfaces show
good luster for an MS62 coin with slight semireflectivity in the
fields, and eye appeal is above average for the issue. The strike
shows slight softness on Liberty's hair, and an abrasion on
Liberty's jawline explains the grade.(Registry values: P8, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 255Z, PCGS# 7238, GSID# 7622)
