Description

1896-O $1 MS60 PCGS. Lustrous and nicely struck with moderate silver-gray toning and no offensive marks. The 1896-O is a notable conditional rarity, common in XF but rare in Mint State and essentially uncollectible above MS63. Presumably, most of the mintage was released into circulation instead of residing in vaults like its common Philadelphia Mint counterpart.(Registry values: P9, N1793)
