Select Mint State 1896-O Morgan Dollar
1896-O $1 MS63 NGC. Exhibiting creamy luster and a coating of attractive, pinkish-gray coloration over both sides, this Select Mint State example also displays some lovely gold, terra cotta, and mint-green iridescence near the borders. With few marks, and showing typical weakness on the hair detail just above Liberty's ear, this piece seems appropriately graded at the current level. Exceedingly scarce any finer, with a mere 15 coins presently certified above MS63, by NGC (8/07). (Registry values: P9, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2563, PCGS# 7242, GSID# 7624)
