1896-S Silver Dollar, MS64
Frosty and Brilliant Example
1896-S $1 MS64 PCGS. VAM-6. This Choice Uncirculated 1896-S
dollar showcases swirling cartwheel luster on fully brilliant
surfaces. Strike detail is bold save for typical softness over the
ear and on the eagle's talons. A handful of small marks on
Liberty's cheek and in the fields define the grade. The issue is
relatively plentiful through MS64, but Gems become scarce and finer
examples are conditionally rare. VAM-6 shows a slightly doubled 1
and the mintmark is repunched.(Registry values: P7, N1793)From The Pizza Collection.
