Description

Select 1897-O Morgan Dollar
Sharp Strike, Strong Luster

1897-O $1 MS63 PCGS. The 1897-O Morgan dollar was produced in large numbers with little care for quality control. The date is usually seen with a poor strike and insipid mint luster. The present coin is a rare exception to this rule, with a razor-sharp strike and vibrant mint luster. Q. David Bowers considers MS63 the Optimal Collecting Grade. A rare prize for the knowledgeable collector.
