1897-S $1 MS67 PCGS. The 1897-S is notably scarcer than the Philadelphia coin of this year, although not quite as elusive in high grade as the New Orleans. This Superb Gem represents the finest quality typically accessible, as only a handful of finer pieces are reported. Brilliant, radiant mint luster complements well-struck design elements, and both sides are nearly flawless in their preservation. Population: 37 in 67 (5 in 67+), 3 finer (8/23).
