1898-S $1 MS64 PCGS. The surfaces of this near-Gem are luminous beneath silver-gray patina that shows occasional gold and reddish-orange accents. A lovely, well-defined survivor of this later 19th century issue, which has a mintage of just over 4.1 million pieces.(Registry values: P5, N991)
