Description
1899 $1 MS65 PCGS. This low mintage Gem has light caramel-gold patina and splendidly smooth fields. Even the cheekbone has only minor contact. Lustrous and lovely. It is one of the anomalies of the series that the high mintage 1901 is vastly rarer than the 1899 in better Mint State grades.(Registry values: P4, N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 256B, PCGS# 7258, GSID# 7586)
