1899-S Dollar, Top-Notch MS67
One of Three With CAC Approval
1899-S $1 MS67 PCGS. CAC. The high-mintage 1899-S Morgan
dollar issue, struck in an amount exceeding 2.5 million pieces,
must have circulated extensively, as certified survivors average
only MS60 to MS61 (meaning, for every MS65 there is an AU55). This
pristine, untoned Superb Gem PCGS example verges on "wonder coin"
territory, one of only 10 submissions in this grade at that service
with none finer (7/15). The untoned silver-white surfaces are
extremely well-struck and devoid of mentionable marks, an exemplary
coin. This is one of only three in this grade with the CAC
