1901 $1 MS62 PCGS. According to Dave Bowers (1993): "Of all Philadelphia Mint business strike dollars, excepting the spectral 1895, the 1901 is the rarest in Mint State." This example exhibits bright, satiny luster and essentially untoned surfaces that possess a normal number of small abrasions, for the grade.
